Meet Judy Blume : Judy Blume (born Judy Sussman) was born on February 12, 1938. She spent her childhood in Elizabeth, New Jersey. She graduated from Battin High School, then enrolled to Boston University, but she became sick with mononucleosis after only two weeks and had to leave school. Judy has written 22 books and has won more than 90 awards. More than 65 million copies of her books have been sold and her book has been translated into 20 languages. She got Bachelor's degree in Education from New York University (1961). Judy enjoys movies, theater, reading, dancing, needlepoint, and baseball, especially the New York Mets. She said that:" Talent isn't enough. It takes hard work and determination. You have to wake up every morning and tell yourself 'I can do this' . Then you have to get to it and work like crazy. That's what I call Girl Power!".
