My opinion about encyclopedia
"Americana" and " Theater & Performance" are the same definition about a certain subject basically. However, Americana are more general than subject encyclopedia because it contains too many subjects in the world. Therefore it only has the basic information or definition about one topic. However, subject encyclopedia serves many specific information for a special subject. For example, Theater & Performance has a lot of knowledge about theater such as definition, history, famous actors in theater, theater in many countries... I think both of encyclopedias are important and useful. General encyclopedia helps us to find main ideas of our topic, but we can add the specific details from the knowledge of subject encyclopedia.Generally, encyclopedia is a very helpful thing for us to research any information about our subject.
Encyclopedia Research
1. General Encyclopedia: Encyclopedia Americana 2004 ( First published in 1829)
Volume 26: about theater.
Page 601: The relation of "theater" and "drama":
Have you ever thought about the connecttion of "theater" and drama"?First of all, we discuss about dramma. It refers to the literary basis of a theatrical presentation. In addition, the written record contains the essential elements of the human experience performed in the theater. However, in this view, theater is merely the physical expression of the playscript. In European theater, the written word has normally been the basis of presentation, this formulation does not apply so readily to the Oriental theater, where gestural and musical presentation has usually taken precedence over verbal presentation. Therefore, to define theater as the embracing art of presentation that includes the performance of mimetic activity. In this view, theater contains not only drama but also circus, dance, opera, and puppetry.
2. Subject Encyclopedia: Theatre and performance 2003(volume 2, page 1349)
Theater in Education
TIE uses theater as part of the educational process, focusing on contemporary social and political issues. Collaborative working practices are at the heart of the TIE movement. Plays are rarely self-contained, standalone entities: interactive workshops are usually an important part of the educational process. The performance elements of a TIE programme are thus often no less collaborative than the creating process itself.

Forever - Judy Blume: the first summary from page 1 to 10 (I am sorry because I was in difficulty in the beginning. Next time, it will be better!!!).
Summary: Katherine and her friend Erica came to Erica's cousin Sybil's party in New Year Eve. In the party, Katherine met and made friends with some guys such as Fred who was a creep and Michael Wagner who wore glasses, had a lot of reddish-blond hair and a small mole on his lelf cheek. However, she was only interested in what Michael was doing because maybe she liked him in the first time. At night after the party, Erica and Katherine spent a night at Sybil's home, and they talked about Michael when they couldn't sleep. Erica admitted that Michael also liked Katherine. In the next day, at noon, Michael came back to Sybil's home to get his records, but meeting Katherine again is the main reason. In this time, he grabbed her wrist and asked her a ride. She agreed immediately, and they came to a lake. It was cold and windy, but the sun was shining there, and they talked about each other happily while they were walking around the lake. Then, He gave her the first kiss warmly, and she thought that was a nice kiss. Before he let her out at Sybil's house, Michael stopped the car and kissed Katherine again...

My opinion: The love beween Michael and Katherine happened too fast. I think that is only a first love from two young adults, because both of them didn't know a lot about each other. In my idea, they need to develop their love in a long time to make a true love. Katherine is a young woman who always believes in her feeling and does what she wants easily, especially her first love. Could they make a true love?, in order to answer this question, please waiting for a new summary the next time. Thank you for visiting my blog.
